When Diana died we had a couple of days when everything on TV was Diana related, then a week or so of reports about it, and then things just went back to normal. Nowadays we've got the odd report once or twice a year, and that's it.
If the queen died of overdose you would hear about it for months. First they'd take 3 months to find out why she died, what she died of, was it murder. Then they'd take 3 months to find out who her daddy is and every famous person in england would claim to be her daddy.
