whatever dude. i don't think pinapples grow flowers(i'm not sure though) i think they polinate(sp check) within themselves)

Glad you've got the problem sorted. You'll have to take pictures, I've never seen Pineapples growing before. I always thought they grew on trees...I also thought Strawberries grew on vines, but then found out they do grow on trees.
It's a crazy little world!
