Noes! That takes forever. Go to a Wal-mart or K-mart and buy a new one. Make sure you don't mess up any of the packaging opening it. Then take off the serial number on the new one and switch it w/ the old one. Make sure your old one looks in good shape and put it in the new box. Then return that bad boy. They'll call Sony and check the serial number over the phone, and it'll check out. I did it w/ a friends ps2 once cause he was to pussy to try it. Heh.
