Sue, that was literally one of the first and best things I noticed when I started college. It is so much more laid back than high school life. I did almost the exact same thing the first night of college. I was walking from house party to house party, and a cop stopped in front of me and asked if we had any beer for him! I said no, then I immediately slammed my beer in front of him so he couldn't take mine! It was so genius, and he just laughed. I was so shocked I didn't get arrested, and I was basically doing back flips all night after that.
