The thing is this time he wasn't fully guilty, hence he didn't just pay the bitch and her kids off like he did w/ the others. They knew they could get him off because the mother basically let him do it to her kids so she could get money. The defense's storys had to many flaws.
As far as our judicial system, thats part of living in a democratic America, I personally wouldn't have it any other way. Ya some guilty people go free, and some innocent guys are pooping marshmellow fudgecakes, but theres really no other fair way. People have to be able to prove they're innocent or guilty.
