Paladins and Priests OWNED Undead, as they were classified AS Undead for spell effects, not Humanoid.

To be honest, I think the changes were made more for the protection of the UNDEAD. Seriously, 25% of the classes available to the Alliance had the ability to completely STOMP you and you couldn't do anything about it, really.

Paladins with 'Sense Undead', Exorcism, and Priests with Shackle Undead. Seriously.
