Betrayed


The ones I loved so many years ago,
A dagger through my heart, seemed not to care.
The twisted words and truth told from the crow,
Revealing cries that stripped my essence bare.
Cold eyes full of hatred that seem to stare
At not the person that’s always been near.
Completely shattered the one thing I cared,
Deep trust that was once something I held dear.
I only wish that everything would clear
So this childish grudge would finally end.
I could carry on my life without fear
With all of our differences set to mend.
But know even if this would never cease
Love remains that will refuse to release.
