dude those dvd player can be bought for only 80 bucks now a days!! i use to work for a video company and i had so many input about vcr and dvds!!
yes sooner or later everyone will have a dvd player, but vcr will stay as long as they will make movies!! for one thing (if you go to blockbuster) you get good deals if you rent dvds rather than vhs....you rent 4 movies you get 4 free which is about 15 bucks save!! the thing is that vhs will out live the dvd!! once the dvd is scratched then the whole dam disk is bad! where as if the begining is bad all you have to do is fast forward...but with dvd you also get spiecal features and what not, and you can also go by chapters; being able to skip scens even faster..and with vhs well, it will out live the dvd disk.
not only that you can also make dvds to vcds and play it in your dvd player the thing IS.....vhs will out live your dvd player!!
