Find your image on the web, or put it there
Hit "user cp" button above
Hit "User Profile"
In sig field, type [img] , followed by the URL of your image which is on the internet, followed by [/img] with no space in between.
Hit "Submit Modifications"

And don't try to use an image on your HD in your sig. You'll be the only one who can see it :]
