For the last 6 hours or so, I've had problems setting up 3D Max 4. Whatever I do, nothing seems to go right. Anyways, heres my problem.
I got everything all setup, till the part to where I need to use KeyGen. I entered in the numbers ex. 1450-3433-4032-8022, then chose Generate, and it'd say a message like 'error: the numbers you chose may be invalid', and i'd get a 16 digit number. Now this is where I have problems. I'd just copy and paste the number into the authorize box, and choose Next. Then I'd get some crap about it was invalid, so I'd have to retry. Then I'd delete the B0148000.DAT file, and redo the process over again.... 43 Times. Now whats odd though, is how even with a new reg code, I'd choose 'generate' and I'd still get the exact same authorization code as I did before, with a different reg code.

Extra details; Would often say Error [54]
Everytime I would enter in the registry code with the numbers and the dashes (-), I'd get an error message that same 'the numbers may be invalid', but when I DONT put in the dashes I get no message.
I'm on Windows XP.
I already have the latest CDilla version.

If anyone has any details on how to get past this, or what I'm doing wrong I would seriously be happy. It took me 2 days to download the file off of morpheus (dont ask), I had to wait 3 days just to get admin to setup CDilla file. And I had to wait over 7 hours to setup the entire file, and end up STILL not having it done. My week has been awful, and I dont see how this could get any worse...
