i've two new messages, but yet it claims that there are no new ones in my folder when i click on it. interesting...

ya it says to me i have 1 unread msg, and its from chruser, and it is blank, doesnt even have option to view it... so it allways say's i got a PM, pisses me off...

there is a way to delete it, but I forget how.

Strider, it probably means the messages that you already read, they are new, but not unread.

Check the box next to it and hit delete at the bottom. It's a blank message anyway. Also, your browser may cache the page, so try reloading it.

It'll always say the number of new messages since your last visit, even after they've been read.

It times out after a while. Forget how long.

No, he's talking about a message that stayed unread because of a blank subject line (long story).

so if I send private messages to people, and dont use a subject, I can irritate them even if IM NOT ONLINE?

You can't send a PM w/ a blank subject using the normal PM system. The blank subject PM was created by a (not as carefull) mass PM script.

It happens to my PM box, too. It eventually goes away. Doesn't seem to bother me, unless it's constantly blinking telling me to read it. Definately something in the script.

No, it's your browser caching it.

the new message blinky thing doesnt bother me, cause I can remember if Ive actually read everything or not......

ya i've gotten a few empty messages before from chruser and wetwired... i just delete them using that little box

I've never had that problem, but I usually delete any messages I get.

well i got tons... of PM... but no one send that much to me anyways... it's basically all chruser and hellmonkeys and user number 1 that gets all the PMs :D
