Beating someone with a higher tech than you
 

I'm just getting some serious problems when this happens on a higher difficulty, since I tend to excel in the technology tree, and kill their horsemen with my tanks. Either way, does anyone know a good way to "win" if the opponent gets tanks before you, for instance?

i did only ONE game and (maybe i should upgrade the difficulty) coz i get all technologies before computer, and was alone on the map after hours of game.
I went to space , then stopped playing coz there was nobody to attack.
I really enjoyed it, but had no more time to do another game.
