Xenogears. that game just popped into my head the other day. has ne1 here played it? if not i suggest you do because its one of the greatest games ever.

I like it better than Final Fantasy. Only RPG that tops it, IMO, is Chrono Trigger.

I WANT TO PLAY IT. I just can't find it anywhere..

some of my friends have it and they some said it sucks ass and some said it was pretty good... but I'm sure it wasn't better than FF...

maybe not better than all ff's (its obviously better than 8 cuz 8 just sux) but it was a very great and origional game.

I could give it a try since a guy I know in class asked me if I wanted to borrow it. Is it like Chrono Trigger? because what I've seen is like Chrono Trigger's style... pictures, battle system... and so on

Chrono Trigger kicks ass. I might go as far as to say Chrono Trigger is better than FF9.

I like Chrono Trigger

It's not quite the same. A few similarities, but not many. It's quite unique in a lot of aspects. Go for it.

I believe it is. CT is the best console RPG I've played.

I say FF9 and then Chrono Trigger.

I haven't played ff9 yet but crono trigger is awesome, I have it for emulator.

WHA?! PPL SAY THAT I'M CRAZY CUZ I DIDNT PLAY FF7, BUT YOU DIDN'T PLAY 9?! You should go and pick it up when you get the chance. Also, if you haven't, try FF3... VERY original and its just as good as Chrono Trigger.

I"ve played every FF except for FF9 and FF10.

I played FF9 until the 2nd disc and got bored. I didn't see what was so good about it. Maybe it doesn't get good until after the 2nd disc..

I didn't quite like the first disc, but 2nd and 3rd was good I'd say, 4th, well I can't really judge that because it was so short.

I was the same way. The first disc was fairly boring. I Kept telling my friends that I didn't like the game and they all said "just keep playing." I'm glad I did, because the game turned out to be my favorite in the series.

I just bought the game for my collection to my FF series... and of course I played abit... and I got bored after the airship crashed at the start and had to fight this tentacle boss... but I just kept playing since I had no other games to play then. But as the game went deeper into the story, I liked the battle systems, the abilities and the side quests were cool too.

One major thing i didn't like about FF9, was Zidane's ultimate weapon, Ultima Weapon... it had like NO point at all to use it except maybe for dmg. But wut if they were strong against physical... it kinda sucked since it gave you nothing except whole lot of physical dmg.

What do you mean by "it had no point"? You mean story-wise? Well, very rarely do any of the characters' final weapons have any involvement in the story at all. Although, I thought Zidane's Ultima Weapon was pretty cool.

No, I meant, there was no point of using the weapon since it had no attribute at all... the looks of it was really cool, see-through, crystal blue... double sided blade... not to mention the physical dmg.
