The writer-director told a British television station that it's about Gilbert Foley, a man in his 40s living in present-day Philadelphia, who plays with a Ouija board (uh-oh!) and begins conversing with a woman named Cassandra. The woman says do fear the Grim Reaper, because he's after you, leading the man to become obsessed with death and contemplate suicide. Cassandra must convince him to overcome his urges, or else a terrible wrath will be unleashed.
