maybe because you smuthered the nade, thus making you absorb the blow, so at least you saved 2 lives:) lol haha

How do you pick up live nades? always when i get a nade beside me and i know i cant run from it, i go near it and hit e and it doesnt do shit

You cant pick them up yet. Most likely the next patch(not bug patch but feature patch) you will be able to, also talk on the Official AA forums is that you will be able to adjust how hard you throw nades to.

They're fixing/adding things for grenades.

- Add spin to grenades when thrown.
- Varying bounce physics according to material type.
- Adjust left hand of model to provide a better visual indication of where grenade will be thrown.
- Increase distance of grenade roll (material dependent).
- Allow kicking of grenades.
- Allow ability to put pin back in.
- Auto-switch back to gun after grenade is thrown (to be a user option).
- Add ear-ringing to frag grenade explosion.
- Changing the way grenade damage is traced so objects will provide better cover.
- Fixing grenades causing damage through doors.
- Adding better disorientation effects for flashbang.
- Improving grenade explosion camera shake.
- Adding autoyell when a grenade has been thrown.
- Variable fuse length for frag and smoke.
- Ability to dive on grenade.
- Various minor bug fixes.
