Should a 13 year old be tried as an adult?

Should a 13 year old boy who is suspected of murder be tried as an adult??

Hades-Knight 2002-09-05 01:35 PM

the 13 yr old kid said that that man raped himand shit lol, he problably kiled hsi dad to go live with his lover (the guyw ho helped them do soemthing, not sure what)

Penguin 2002-09-05 04:35 PM

shit i read bout that case,

If the kid is grown enough to say "Well im in love with this 30-40 year old guy" and has a sexual life with that dude, and admits to being gay, then he is old enough to be tried as an adult... But then again life in jail is a bit harsh... id put him away for like 30 years

Also a kid like that, in JAIL with other grown men? heh, it dosent matter if hes gay or not, hes gonna get passed around that damn jail either way, so he'll be gay anyway =0

Jamesadin 2002-09-05 05:04 PM

yes he should, he/she is old enough to be responsible for his actions

Hades-Knight 2002-09-05 05:35 PM

hes gonan be ass pwn3d .... literally

i would put him away, nobody can escape murder charges and get unpunished. Put em away for a bit but at LEAST reduce the sentence time to half because of his young age, the kid hasent even produced pubes... when your a kid you can do many stupid things.

Jamesadin 2002-09-05 09:29 PM

heh, hes still in the "bald" stage. But It kinda defpends on the charge.

Penguin 2002-09-05 11:36 PM

Think about it ! he walks up to his sleeping father and BASHES HIS BRAINS OUT SEVERAL TIMES, then walks away to live with his gay partner

Jamesadin 2002-09-06 08:16 AM

well, he deserves to be tried as a adult then

Chruser 2002-09-06 08:42 AM

How about "Yes, even if there isn't enough evidence to prove the case, since that's how grownups are treated"?

A mistake is always a mistake, even kids know that. Some just don't realize how badly they have screwed up, but nor do some grownups.

They were both charged with 2nd-degree murder about 10 minutes ago.

"CRØNîC-KîLLå" 2002-09-06 03:04 PM

heh how many years does 2nd degree get?

!King_Amazon! 2002-09-06 03:18 PM

25 to life I think.

Jamesadin 2002-09-06 04:53 PM

I think they should be put in jail for how long there life is so far, (ex he is 13 so 13 years of jail) then be put on parole

Strider Fury 2002-09-06 09:33 PM

bah, if 13 year olds think that they 'are' and 'responsible' enough to be having sex, then i think that they should be responsible for killing someone, too. in medevil times, 13 years old were consider to be adults and were allowed to start a family (since they dont have stuff like school to wait for). so if anything kids needs to be more responsible these days.

The thing about prision it isn't really rehabilatating when people are sent to live with nothing but criminals they become hardened crimnals not more innocent....

Raziel 2002-09-07 04:08 AM

That depends ENIRELY on the mindset of the criminal. If this kid only killed his father because he felt there was no other choice, he might not spend so much as ten years in prison. If the kid killed his father because he wanted to see someone die, then I agree with you completely Johnny. The concept of "rehabilitation" requires the subject to be willing to be rehabilitated.

Demosthenes 2002-09-07 05:55 PM

i dont think he should be tried as an adult
