Mod help me
 

Hi, whenever I download a mod from the www.mewgood.com website and try to run Diablo 2 it comes up with an error, this is the error:
File Read Error:
Location : D2hell\SRC\Archive.cpp, line #59
Expression : data\local\lng\ENG\patchstring

Uh... I think someone should look into this...

Is it a mod for single mode ?
Did you had to remplace a file like the 'patch_D2.mpq' ?
maybe the file corrupted, try downloading again.

yes, I replace the patch_d2.mpq file, but every mod file I get it has the same error. I downloaded the Superbossmod on the www.mewgood.com site.

Is your D2 version a non-European/US one? is it a chinese/japanese version ?

Edit: I just downloaded it to try, and it works fine. I've been killed by Andariel and a cow while exiting the town in act 1.

What do you mean what version it is? I got the game from Electronics Botique is Pennsylvania the 1st day it came out, and I downloaded the patch from the blizzard website, by the way, I have Diablo 2 classic. All that you did was replace the patch_d2.mpq file right? and then ran diablo 2?

Maybe it's with LOD.

I think it might work now, cause I had an mpq viewer, and whenever I tried to see what was inside the patch_d2.mpq file it didnt have anything, so I moved the regular patch out of the folder and I looked into the new patch and finnaly I saw something in there. Im waiting til' I can play Diablo again, I got it taken away from me cause I was addicted to it :D

well, the mods that I have downloaded only work with D2 classic :-( pls tell me where you can get mods that work with d2 classic pls, ty in advanced

it turns out it doesn't work on D2 classic! CRAP! :rant:
