Stunt Man Review
ORIGINAL OPINION FROM PENGUIN
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MY REVIEW = 1.5 STARS OUT OF 10 Lets see... Its has great graphics, great cutscenes, sometimes fun things to do... BUT after playing, 3 houres (Im not kidding) on the same level because i cant hit a stunt right, i was brought back to some of my childhood days of nintendo in which i threw the controller on the floor and screamed and talked to myself. After vowing to kill someone or break something. I beat the level, Too bad it was only the 3rd or 4th one and it was considered "easy". Then i got to the next one and ... GAH Picture Mario on NES. Now, Picture the first level, with 20 of those little hammer head clouds that throw hammers, then pictures 20 of those suns that come down from ... the other mario.. anyway, now picture the level to be HUGE. Now picture dying, and then waiting about 1-2 minutes for the level to load, ALL THE WAY from the begging, no check/waypoints. Then picture sitting there for 3 houres. And passing it, only to goto another level that just had a color change and was twice as long... Anyway.... The game did do a good job on Damage, ive never gotten any faster then 80 miles an hour in ANY car so far... Oh well --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Barbarian Review
ORIGINAL OPINION FROM JOHNNYTAE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently rented this game with merger hopes and rest assured they held steady. While the game features 4-player battles (+comp thugs to add a bit f strategy), Detailed characters and puzzles during battles to make the game more interesting, it just don't hold it's own even with a friend over. You will find yourself finger mashing around the arena in which half the time you won't be able to see your character, hoping that you are able to land the last blow. The story line is somewhat interesting at first and slowly begins to fade only to greet you with a slew of text at the completion of the game to congratulate you... TAE gives this game a 2/5 only rent if there is no other titles available (1/5 is worst possible 5/5 is greatest game in the world) |
Well, I won't be playing EITHER of those games anytime soon.

please, please don't pick up where you left off making threads like this.

I think I should make a review about Onimusha 2 and Sega Sports Tennis.

The Mark of Kri I just played the demo for this game out of the August edition of OPM and the game was stunning on many levels. The Graphics were the first thing you noticed when you begin to play. It comes across as a Kiddie game (which you find out a bit later it's not) but with extreme details to the enviroment and even the fighting has great animations (you will never get tired of stabbing someone in the back as they run away or cutting off the enemies head). 4/5 Graphics The Story starts off with the main char (Rau) is unsatisfied with his life and wishes for more and thats where he heads off and the game begins. Only Rau his weapon and his friendly bird they decide to go out and make the world a better place (or something like that)... Story 4/5 (the demo was only a small piece of the complete game and yet it was still interesting) Gameplay The Mark of Kri features a tottaly innovated lock-on, which uses the right thumbstick to assign buttons (o, ^, x) to the enemies on screen. that lets you fight enemies to every which side when the attack you in a simple manner. The game also features a soul reaver like brutallity that makes and blood thirsty gamer happy. 5/5 Sound the sounds and music for this game are great and really make the whole experince a lot stronger with great bass and effects (makes you wanna go get a surrond sound system just for your ps2) 5/5 Overall I give this game 4/5 a must rent and a nice add-on to any gamers collection I am not really into Adventure games but this one was the exception. (No it wasn't just because the main character resembles a polynesian warrior the Maori from New Zealand) |
Original Text From JohnneyTAE:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The thing a gameport of a 80's horror flick is a sequel to the original film and continues the story on through the rough and tumble main character.... Gameplay 3/5 features a unique squad-based fear/trust system that loses shine quickly Sound 4/5 one of the nicer parts of the game really adds detail to the world Graphics 3/5 Shiny and nice on the outside but the detail is more about the small things the game is a white snowy world with very few details to make it seem gloomier, and the dead corpses aren't very convincing Control 2/5 the controls aren't user friendly very difficult to master and even when you have done so you will still mess up occasionaly Overall 3/5 The game offers a new squad fear/trust system which gives the game polish but not shine. Is interesting at first but all that quickly fades , I played through the game not even being able to get into the story line. Game takes a long time to get into and thats even if it catches your eyes... |
