Perspective.

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend.

He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.'

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine..'

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Tebow spelled backwards is WOBET

Skurai 2009-12-07 08:42 PM

Is this a true story, or did I get sad for no reason...? :(

If you grow up blind your brain doesn't develop optic capacities, so even if your eyes were 'cured' your brain still wouldn't be able to interpret your newfound vision.

!King_Amazon! 2009-12-07 10:12 PM

Would the brain no longer be able to develop optic capacities?

Grav 2009-12-07 10:14 PM

Right, that's my understanding of it. It can only be developed as an infant.

I think my hearing perception is much better than my visual perceptions.

Grav 2009-12-08 09:43 AM

How's your olfactory?

D3V 2009-12-08 11:11 AM

Absolutely amazing. I have better senses of smell when compared to anybody else that I know. Weird odors I can automatically identify if I've ever smelled it before. I just love how good my hearing and smell senses are..

!King_Amazon! 2009-12-08 11:27 AM

I have pretty good smell-memory.

It's very interesting how our brain works, I really wish I knew more about it.

My ears and eyes are both pretty bad, but my taste, smell, and feeling are really cool. Also, I can hear high-pitch noises other kids don't hear.

So you're like a gay dog, then?

Skurai 2009-12-10 06:49 PM

Yeah, kinda. Though, I'm not gay, people often compair me to dogs. This one girl in my class pets me and calls me "puppy".
