What wormholes would really look like
Unlike Star Trek and other science fiction franchises that render wormholes as facing one direction and surrounded by a ring of clouds, a wormhole has a spherical "surface", and can be entered from any side. Click the link for cool images.
http://www.spacetimetravel.org/wurml...mlochflug.html The illustration of the shape of space (by way of the colored sticks) is thought provoking. The structure as shown can only exist in the wormhole. I wonder what would happen if external force was applied. Would the structure resist motion because it is "pinned" in place? Would it simply crumble? Eve online renders wormholes in the same way as shown on the site. I find the experience of orbiting one close to the "surface" quite nauseating. |
That's interesting. I enjoyed reading that.

yeah, thanks for posting that WW.
few pics from the site, very perculiar art rendition of what it would look to travel through a wormhole. http://www.spacetimetravel.org/wurmlochflug.jpg http://www.spacetimetravel.org/wurml.../wurmloch0.png http://www.spacetimetravel.org/wurml.../wurmloch1.png |
