I could have sworn we had a FF forum. Does anyone play? I'm trying to figure out who I can sell these damn earth crystals to...

I played in beta. Didn't like it. Went back to Ragnarok Online when beta ended.

Sell them all on the auction house. You need them for crafting so people always buy crystals; just look up the price and put up for the same or undercut a little bit.

We did have an FF forum, but we've attempted to condense the forums a bit rather than have a forum for everything.

I tried FFXI. It was boring as hell. After like level 5, you can't really play solo anymore, and finding a group takes forever. Not my cup of tea.

To add to !K_A!'s post - we now just post FF threads in Digital Gaming (EDIT: oh, it got a re-name: "Video Games").

As for FFXI, I've got a few friends who played it, and whilst they liked most of it, the grinding really put them off. Not the fact that they could grind, but the fact that grinding was a core part of gameplay.

Yea, I played it for about 4 months shortly after it came out here and I founf there was way to much travel time (walking) and even after you could ride chocobos it was still slow. The whole loading screen for every zone sucked, it took for ever to level and find groups and so forth. I had fun at first sicne it was new but that ended pretty fast.

I enjoy MMO's, but S-E could have done a much better job with this game imo.

I played some of the early FF games on a gameboy advance a while back, but I've never bothered to play any of the new games.

FFXI is nothing like any of the other FF games. It's an MMORPG.

I like it so far, but I'm only lvl 3. I've got a friend that's been begging my boyfriend and I to play and we finaly broke down and started playing it. I don't think groups are going to be hard to find because he plays it religously.

Trust me, it does, I got my war class to the mid 30's, went ninja and got him to the 30's, plus got a dark knight to the 20's and it was a struggle everytime.
