[RMXP/RMVX] An extremely nooby question
 

How do i make the text box say the name of the character?
i know its somehting like /N but thats not working, please respond then throw this thing in the trash

On xp, it is this \N[1] for your first characters name. So if you want to make it say the name of your character in slot 3, go \N[3]

Anyone know how to do it on VX? its not the same as Xp apparently

No, it's the same. Its been the same sense RPG Maker 2000.

\n[1] \n[2] \n[3] and so on.

Be sure that you are using [] and not () or {}

Another problem may have been that maybe it only works when it's lowercase and not upper case as in Coriander's example.

Actually 4get it i have another question,
How do i make it in Vx so that i can make a beggining cutscene but without the player poping up? he keeps poping up even though i put the opacity to 0
he pops up for a split second

EASY!

Make the starting Character a blank character file. Then when you need him change the party by first deleting blank then adding the main character into the party.

All this time I've been doing the names Manually...
