New Bunny!

We got a bunny. A Holland Lop. It looks almost exactly like the first one in the video below.

I'll see if I can get some pictures up sometime soon. We're going to try to get a camera soon, he's the cutest little thing ever! He's really sweet, too. We named him Peanut.

When something beeped that brown went all serious, Like "What the fuck was that, I heard that.." While the other one just kept on chilling lol. Bunnies are awesome though.

HandOfHeaven 2008-04-29 07:19 AM

That's awesome. I guess I got a little bit excited, expecting to see the funny cartoon and all.

Willkillforfood 2008-04-29 07:21 AM

How old is it? Do you have to get it neutered?

!King_Amazon! 2008-04-29 08:15 AM

It's 6 weeks old. We can't get it neutered until it's like 5 months old. You don't HAVE to do it but it generally makes the rabbit a lot nicer and a better pet.

Willkillforfood 2008-04-29 08:16 AM

Yea. The pet store owner I talked to said if you don't get them neutered they're aggressive and can bite.

Stop! The bunny is cute! Don't even suggest that kind of inhuman torture to a poor cute little bunny.

WetWired 2008-04-29 02:56 PM

It's only torture if the subject is alive.

Asamin 2008-04-29 03:03 PM

I don't care. It is a cute little bunny and one should not have such a foul heart as to suggest the consumption of such a cute creature.

WetWired 2008-04-29 03:11 PM

Deer are cute, but people consume them all the time.

-Spector- 2008-04-29 06:57 PM

Dogs are cute, but in China the people there have been known to eat them.

I think "cuteness" is a relative term anyway.. what about those people who think cows are super cute? Yet you still eat that nice steamy hamburger don't ya?

Or how about cannibals who eat people? I'm sure their have been some good looking people who have been consumed by other people.

Open your eyes a little bit and realize that physical looks don't affect everything.

Anyway I'd like my bunny medium rare please. With a lemon on the side........ and some A1 sauce.

Rabbits make shitty pets. You'll realize this once the corners of your living room are stained by rabbit piss, your carpets are torn to shit, and your shoes have been rabbit-humped into a shredded mess.

!King_Amazon! 2008-04-30 12:13 AM

When cared for properly, rabbits are fine as pets. If your rabbit is pissing in the corners, it obviously needs to be litterbox trained. If your rabbit is tearing up your carpet, it's because it doesn't have nearly enough toys to play with. As far as rabbit humping shoes, well, I have no idea.

Generally, though, if you don't give rabbits LOTS of methods of entertaining themselves, they'll find things, like destroying carpets and furnature and cables and stuff. Also, some breeds are a lot better as house pets than others. Holland Lops are pretty widely considered to be the best pets, as they've got great personalities and they're easy to train and relatively small. They're also cute as hell.

Vault Dweller 2008-04-30 12:17 AM

Clearly, not my rabbit. It just so happens that it destroyed my shoe. I'm a cat person.

HandOfHeaven 2008-04-30 12:18 AM

Be sure to post the pictures of destroyed property if it happens.

!King_Amazon! 2008-04-30 12:19 AM

I would probably prefer a cat or a small dog, but our apartment complex doesn't allow pets that aren't in cages. We kinda get around that by having a bunny. While the bunny does live in a cage, it spends a lot of time out of it. They don't necessarily know that, but that's not an issue.

My ideal pet would probably be a Yorkie.
