Guild Hosting/New activity
 

This concept is simple.

Either advertise, get the word out somehow that would let Clans/Guilds host their online shit here on Zelaron through a subforum similar to "Dragoon Elites" and possibly appoint whatever mod would want to moderate it, and make it so you have to have permissions to join and view what's in there, yah'know?

This would work well with WoW/CS:S/(When Starcraft 2 comes out)...etc. There are tons of games out there, and nobody wants to pay for their own boards, BUT, if Zelaron is desperate to the point of wanting more activity that they're wanting to go out and purchase more webspace, why not in turn just allow people to hose on here, and everybody wins?

Hell, I see this as a brilliant idea that's been brought up before in the chatbox, so I figured we could start a thread for it.

Very simple, and would work.

That is a fabulous idea D3V, That would definetly bring more Activity to Zelaron. Now you just have to get it approved.

I know that PERSONALLY, I could get a clan for Starcraft 2, for sure. And have it hosted on here easily.(Especially with Thanatos being as passionate about it as I am, i'm sure he or I or both could run a Zelaron guild pretty effectively.. but that's in the future)

For WoW etc, it'd be a bit harder. I'm in a guild right now with my RL friend, but I don't raid and hardly play. But having that option available for anybody that would like to take advantage of it would be nice.

I would use it. I need a good clan/guild to join when SC2 comes out.

Not sure what you mean. Zelaron already accepts requests for new hosted sections, and has for years.

He means just for Guilds for games, Like D2, WoW, and SC2, Where people have their guild meetings, etc etc....I think..

I'm leaning more with advertising for it. I wasn't aware that you did accept invatation for it. I guess now we just need to get the word out, bascially?

We don't advertise it in any notable location, whether on Zelaron or on other locations. I wouldn't mind another header button.

Ah, I must've had a brain fart about that post, for some reason. Anyways, atleast getting the idea out there more is never a bad thing.

I'd like to get up and running on vb3.7 before we start advertising. Our forum is a bit out of date, ATM.

Out of date? How so...This seems like every other Vb forum I have seen. The layout, you know what I mean.

Feature wise, it's out of date. vB3.7 is at the doorstep, and this forum is still running vB3.5. We never updated to vB3.6.

I might just be misreading, but how is this any different from the idea that Chruser came up with just a couple of weeks ago? It's like the exact same thing. Host forums for clans which in turn brings in activity. We already have plans to do this.

I dunno, my brain is kinda fried right now, I could just be losing my mind.
