So I hang around with a lot of druggies and such. I have an internship coming up that's going to make me take a piss test. I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not second-hand pot smoke could screw that up?

Not unless you're hot-boxing (clam-baking), I reckon. You're lucky you just need a piss test, I need hair tests.

Couldn't you just wax all your hair out?

If they cannot take head hair, they take body hair. If there is no hair to be had anywhere, they simply fire you/don't offer you the position.

Well you just have to give it time to grow out without any drug traces.

I've heard in cases they can trace it to 7 years. But who knows.

Anyways, just drink plenty of OJ and work out. I've got friends who have went from smoking nonstop to getting clean for a test in a week and a half. He drank like fifty bottles of water or something and did nothing but run on his treadmill afterschool all day. I know you didn't smoke or anything but i'm not gonna lie when I hang out with my brother and his friends in their room, i get somewhat high from not even smoking. Besides, you'll feel better after eating healthy/drinking water only so its a win-win situation.

Hair drug testing

Hair testing is considered highly accurate and can go back normally 3 months (6 months or longer possible with specialist tests), showing any drugs of abuse used in the detection window. As hair grows out, any drugs used are encased in the hair shaft, so the longer the hair, the longer back in the individual's drug history the laboratory can detect. There is a growing trend in major companies and law enforcement agencies to utilize hair analysis on account of its efficiency and reputation as the gold standard when considering test accuracy. This technology makes use of radioimmunoassay technology with subsequent confirmation by mass spectrometry.

It's not possible, mate. To have THC in your system, you have to indulge in the smoking part itself. Second-hand marijuana smoke will not affect a drug test.

It's nearly impossible to get high from second hand pot smoke, and equally impossible to fail a drug test from it. When inhaled, pot smoke is stripped of nearly all of it's THC, so "second hand" pot smoke has only trace amounts of THC in it. You'd be more likely to fail a drug test from smoking hemp.

So yes, you are fine, and yes, Slaynish is full of shit about getting high just being around people smoking. If anything, it's just a mental high, similar to the placebo effect.

if they only use the part of the hair closest to the scalp you can always just take kelp tablets and or wash your hair with horse shampoo. i used both after shaving my head after having a mohawk once to grow my hair back and it grew about 1 1/2- 2 inches inches in nearly 3 weeks. only bad thing was i had to shave everyday

According to my wife, that is true. She works at Kaiser Permanente, and they do hair drug tests there. She wasn't sure exactly how far back it goes, but said about a year.

MJ, I've had several friends pass drug tests, and they were the ones driving me and my friends around. They used to smoke, but hadn't in several months and we always hotboxed there cars. He never got high, although I think he was acting goofy just to fuck with us sometimes. One is a paramedic now, and the other works with handicapped folk. They both had piss tests, though.
