Hooray for baseless speculation and uninformed conjecture!

I'll be damned if someone is going to tell me that, as an adult, I can't freely drive around and shoot cops whenever the hell I want on my video game. I know that isn't what this is about, but it IS where it's going to go.

Bring up censorship of books, people get defensive because they fear Fahrenheit 451.
Bring up censorship of art, people consider you an uncultured rube.
Bring up censorship of video games, people think you're a modern day hero.

What the fuck?

Video Games are kinda touchy because they're multimedia, they incorporate elements of story, art, and entertainment.

The problem isn't that the games ratings are too low, or that they're too graphic or whatever, the problem is that the ratings are misunderstood or ignored by parents and in some cases that the games are being sold to underage consumers by unscrupulous merchants.

There is not a single game out there that could affect a child's behavior in spite of parental awareness and guidance, unless the child was previously mentally unbalanced.
