No FF on Xbox 360; No FFVII Remake... yet.
 

The latest news on the Final Fantasy series:

- Final Fantasy XIII will NOT be making its merry way on to the Xbox 360.
- Final Fantasy on the Xbox 360 is "a blank page".

Well all is not lost. They're not making one now, and haven't got plans to, but they're not saying they'll never make one:

Overrated, yes, but it has great potential for improvement with a remake. As the first 3D FF game, mistakes were made that were corrected later in the series; a FFVII remake for PS3 would be the most improvement without changing the feel.

As always after an official comment, there are new rumours going around the net.

This time, it's that Squenix's big, surprise announcement of the last game for their 20th Anniversary will be a remake of FFVII - all of these comments saying that it won't happen are being said just to confuse people. :rolleyes:

Like I've said before, there's been rumors of a FF VII remake since the release of PS2.

Now I didn't know that they'd be flying around since the release of the PS2. Why was that?

I know that the Squenix Tech Demo at E3 2005 was the reason for the PS3 Remake rumours.

I'm not sure. I had remembered reading it in either a magazine or an internet news article that a rumor was circulating that they were going to remake 7-9 for PS2 since they had been rereleasing 4-6 for PSX.

Oh, a little more on the FF on 360 front - one of the higher ups of Squenix has released a statement saying that the comments made by Hashimoto about FF on the 360 being a blank page only concerns current plans - it' not ruled out for the future.

I want them to remake the ones on the NES or SNES if they remake any at all. Those were shit. The new games suck so hard that even bikers get rug burn on their cocks from it.

XII actually got me interested in the series again (after VIII and X had me vowing to never touch another FF title). The battle system was fantastic.

Good God, no more shitty Final Fantasy I remakes! Just give me the original on a system I can buy today, is that so much to ask?

I just wrote a letter and sent it in as fan mail. The letter tells them of how they have forsaken their honorable japanese culture and become nothing more than frenchmen for making FF games on handhelds.
