Transfer 2k to 2k3 official

I finally made up my mind I switched back to 2k3 and there is no way of changing my mind, because 2k can't play mp3s.

What I need help with is transfering from one to another.

I transfered it and I thought it was fine but the monsters group button no matter what you do will pop up telling you, that you have an error with the hexadecimal number and will not correspond to the other hexadecimal number. Not only that but the game will not start up at all, when I test play it tells me that there was some error and that it will not test play the file.

Now how do you transfer over correctly without having problems such as these?

You can play MP3s on RM2K. I do.

Are there different versions, because I put a lot of mp3s in the music folder and not a single one appears when I try to get them to work.

Did you use the import function in the program?

Nay, I did not use the import function, is that what you have to do? I'll give it a try.

EDIT: REMEMBER, this is RM2K were talking about I have no problem with MP3s in RM2K3. The import function didn't work, now what?

KagomJack 2007-02-12 04:25 PM

That doesn't work. There is a patch or program (can't remember which) that makes it so RM2K will play MP3s.

Now he tells us...

That's what I was thinking of. I knew I had seen a patch somewhere online but I can't find it nowadays.

EDIT: http://www.phanxgames.com/pxg/downlo...e=268&iType=24 Well I guess I was wrong, there it is, nevermind it's back to 2k again.

KagomJack 2007-02-12 05:09 PM

I'm bad about doing shit like that!

Nevermind, my nevermind. I can not navigate the program as the text is not actually Russian nor German nor Japanese it's nonsence. Maybe wait a second there it is.

There was a utility for importing MP3s into RM2k, the RPG Link Wave Master that was hosted on the old Palace - I have a copy: http://www.stupid-boy.com/chris/RPGLinkWavMaker.exe
This may not be what you're looking for, but it works. If I remember correctly, the first box is the path to your sound directory in your game, the second is the MP3 you wish to import and the 3rd is the new name for the MP3. You'll need to drop the MP3 you want to import into a directory in your game called "MP3".
