Unreadable Install
 

I was playing around with the "Make Game Disk" to see how it was going to work and when I went to install it everything I would liek to read is just question marks. if it wasnt for the fact that it has checkboxes next to the string of ?'s I realy wouldnt care but it does and it just looks liek crap. Basically my question is this:

Is it possible to make the installation legible?

And if so, how would I go about it?

It might be the RM__ version your using - Japanese translation, English, help files and whatever not being in English or whatever.

Yeah sorry I actually meant to include that in there I am using rm2k3 version 1.08, translated by RPG Advocate. and my help file is in english as well.

I don't suppose you could take screenshots of your problems?

EDIT: Nevermind. I've just tried it with my version and I think I get the same problems.

These question marks pop up when you double click the setup file created when you create a gamdeisk, aye?

YEah I was just searching google and all I could find was people acknowledging the fact that it happens but not what to do about it or what the damned check boxes are asking. I did come across an entry in wich bluecube himself even noted on the problem but from what I can tell he cant even fix it, or at least not at the time.

I think that if you, or we, had the official English version of RM2K3 (if there is one), it'd work like a dream.

I'm sure at least someone can work it out... or translate everything, even the error messages.

Errors, I don't know about (other than the "folder does not exist, create it?" box, but that one is obvious enough), but the first checkbox is for adding a shortcut to the start menu, and the second checkbox is for an uninstaller. Everything else is pretty easy to figure out.

Can't be fixed as far as I know. I can edit some parts of the dialog in reshack but that's about it.

hey I made a breakthrough (well thats what I would call it) I found a way to actually make msi files to install your games. looks very proffesional. the only downside is you have to have everything imported weather you do what I did and import the entire rtp ( sucked btu it was for the sake of testing) or just import what you use and make sure you dont forget anything(smarter). but once you get everything taken care of that way its pretty much a cake walk concidering the program even has a wizard to walk you through the proccess.

I have made a point to not list the program name or the web address because I am not sure if I am allowed to like that but if I am lemme knwo and I will give all the info on it:D
