Diablo 2 RPG (WiP)
 

Hey Guys! I am DeadlySporks (AKA Dave). I am new to the thread and relatively new to rpgmaker. I decided to start my game makign I will choose Diablo 2. I just wanted to let everyone know and see what type of response I get from everyone, and to see if anyone is willing or able to help out with the sprites /graphics /maps. Either way thanks for reading and please let em know "yay" or "nay" if you think this is a good idea.:D

I just remembered if you do wanna help with anything please contact me before you go ahead and make anything (I want to let you know what I am lookign for exactly before wasting your time)

Diablo 2 is fun because of the.... because of the.... ummm

Anyways you should make an original rpg.

Actually I do plan to make an original but I figured if I do one that is already structured and set up I can focus on the actual makign of the game and a good clean flow. btu I do agree with the diablo crack there thats why I fuigured this woudl be a new twist and possibely make some people laugh with out the game itself beign goofy

Wanna do an MMO out of it? I have the scripts.

I didnt even knwo you /could/ make an mmo out of an rm2k3 game. do you have a game or link ot one that uses the script?

You CAN make MMO's in RM2K3. I know someone who did it.

But I don't know how or why. And you probably could use scripts in RM2K3, but not the type that Atnas probably means (RMXP scripts).

As for D2...never played it.

I really dont see why anyone would want to either but with this game at least I was talking to some people who play the actual game and they were actually inquiring about if it could. so I maight look into it later.

I finished the first BattleCharSet and its for the necromancer (boy was that a pain in the butt. (Attached)

That's a brilliant set, really.

Did you draw/paint/whatever it yourself, or rip it?

Either way, it's a very good job.

First off thank you! :D and secondly what I did was I went into the game itself and took between 8 and 15 screen shots for each individual action so I could get a few to choose from. Then when I found three that would make the 3-shot animation work I edited them, took out the background, resized and finally touched up each picture. So it was a complete pain and rediculously time consuming but I think it was worth it. Plus if you use it the victory dance for him cracks me up each time I see it

One thing I was just about to start messing with to give my eyes a rest though, is how would I go about making my own font set for the game liek I see how to do the numbers and all but not the fonts. thanks for any help!

I got the second BattleCharSet done. :D For those that havent noticed I am gonna give a play by play so I have something to do to make myself take a break. Anyway here's the new set... enjoy!

Btw the 19 kb quota is a pain lol

I was into D2 for a long time...Lost my CD key for them, though. Heh.

Anyways, that's a great sorc battle charset. I wouldn't have the patience to rip them from D2. -.-

Yeah its a bit tedious I get a little more than one set a day done. About the key though did you lose it or were you part of the mass banning that just happened? And if your interested I am lookign for some help making the charsets (using the typical style for those) :D

I took a brak from the game and uninstalled it from my computer (for one reason or another), and I lost the key. XP

**UPDATE**

Well a couple pretty cool things are going on now. First I have a new set of System 1 & 2 's. Second I found out how to actually rip the music and cut scenes from the game it self and how to get them to play in rm2k3. oh yeah and yesterday was my 1 year anniversary of being married :) Anyhow heres a peek at the new pieces:
