That...was weird.

I came to post here because I was having issues with my keyboard and mouse. Everything I typed was in caps, numbers and symbols were all shifted (Id est, instead of typing 6, it would type ^), number pad didn't work, my mouse...well...if I clicked on one thing, it would highlight everything up until that point.

Virus, or just my power supply going...which has been for a while now. I'm thinking virus.

I need a new damn computer.

Reboot with f8 in safe mode.

Unplug and plug the connectors from the tower. If that doesnt' help anything, hit your keyboard a few times and reboot. Usually works for my friend. Worked for me when my whole keyboard stopped working altogether.

Sounds like your shift key is stuck. Sometimes Windows hickups and forgets that you stopped pressing it. Usually, rapid tapping of both shift keys will resolve this.
