AP Trick
 

anyone else know about the AP Trick in final fantasy 10? i dont know what i'd do without it, now that i can finally do it :)

Wuts the AP trick? Plz post!!!!

1. obtain as many Door to tomorrows as you can, 10 per character you want to level up are needed.

2. Obtain at least 40 mega phoenixes, by fighting the Mech leader monsters in mt. gagazet over and over again. they yield 1-2 each.

3. CAPTURE, not kill, 4 of those flying one eyed monsters in at least 5 areas: Mt. Gagazet, Thunder Plains, Omega Ruins, M'ihen Highroad, and Macalaina Forest. Go talk to the guy at the monster arena, and he'll create a new floating eye monster in the "species conquest" category.

4. Capture every monster in the temple of the hidden aeon (yojimbo), under the bridge at the end of the calm lands. This will unlock Don Tonberry at the monster arena.

5. Fight the new one eyed flying monster (from step 3) over and over again. he will wield, among other things, weapons for each character with the "Triple AP" ability.

6. Give these weapons Overdrive->AP, by using the ten or more door to tomorrows you have. Then give two "helper people", your two strongest fighters other than the one youre giving the AP, the auto phoenix ability, using 20 mega phoenixes on each. Set everyones overdrive mode to commarade. Also, make sure you have at least 40 or so plain old phoenix downs.

7. Fight Don Tonberry. Every time you hurt or steal from him (which you should do very often), he will counter with an attack that will kill you. Auto phoenix will revive you instantly, with the help of another party member. You can go on and on like this until you run out of phoenix downs because Don Tonberry will never attack more than one party member at a time. And every time one of those helpers get hurt, the character with Overdrive->AP ability will gain experience. Triple the experience because they have triple overdrive.

8. Do this until you run out of phoenix downs, then flee from battle. You'll have gotten at least 20 sphere levels, if not more.

... this was for FF10? ...DAMN i thought it was for FF9 lol. I use gameshark for AP lol... Thanks anyway dude! Its gonna be a big help to the other ppl who doesnt have a gameshark.

uh... thats all you do, just use gameshark in FF games?

no, i meant like i can use AP for gameshark, instead of doing that "trick" and besides i dont need it for FF10 thats all. I need is a way to lv up and gain AP fast in FF9 so that i can finish the goddamn game.
