Have you ever read one of his interviews? He comes off as a regular, nice guy. Totally different from the reputation which was going for him. He just seems like a cool guy who likes making wierd movies. :P

He had a simply horrible childhood. His mother was the true creator of any evil he did and he never really killed that many people. They were all corpses he stole mainly. He was indulging in what his mother had constantly forbad him from doing. He was to be pitied.

A lot of old people are still better than today's generation. Once you fight in a World War, survive a depression, live through over 30 years of constant nuclear tension and still work for 97% of your life, then you can see what they went through.
