Blizzard games coming to Xbox 360 apparently.
Taken from 1up.com
Blizzard has been asked on several occasions whether they've considered bringing their massively popular MMO onto consoles, and they "accidentally" listed StarCraft: Ghost for next-generation consoles in a marketing flyer earlier this year. Something's up over at the house of Diablo, and we'll know a little more about it later this month. A look at the schedule for BlizzCon reveals an hour-long "Microsoft Next Gen Platform" presentation without detailing anything about it. Blizzard has something up their sleeves; there's nothing else scheduled for the two day festival that's related to anything but Blizzard computer and videogames. The popular rumor is that World of Warcraft is actually headed onto Xbox 360, but the less exciting, more probable scenario is that an Xbox 360 version of StarCraft: Ghost will be shown off. The game's already been in development for several years on the current round of hardware, and it wouldn't be surprising to see an upgraded Xbox 360 version. Then again, the 'Next Gen Platform' could actually refer to Microsoft's upcoming operating system, Vista. Who knows what advantages the OS could have on Blizzard's products, but given Microsoft's recently confirmed recommitment to PC gaming, it wouldn't be surprising to see such a presentation at a gathering of hardcore gamers. BlizzCon starts on Friday, though, so we'll know soon enough. Stay tuned. |
Pfft. SC ghost was supposed to be out over a year ago. Im sure they made a spiffed up version in that time.

UPDATE: As it turns out, the wording on BlizzCon's schedule wasn't meant to be vague and misleading. In fact, it was just a mistake. Blizzard has updated the schedule to reflect the actual content of the presentation, an hour-long look at Microsoft's next-generation operating system, Vista. As 1UP predicted, the actual surprise was something less than people were freaking out about, but should provide insight into how PC gamers will be playing their games a few years from now.
