Any idea as to what Standard of Hero's does?

I hear they are just a show off kinda item. Like a ear almost. But that wouldnt make much sense. So I doubt thats it. People just probably saying that cause they dont know either. I also heard if you get 12 and cube them or something it will do something. But also I doubt that.

My friend jay has like five. He's gone pro MF since this patch came out.

I think they are keys to a much different thing diablo has done so far, maybe like it is used as a portal key (unlimitied lets hope) to a place easier to lvl...maybe hell itself. (Baal runs seem to have diminished and 10x harder).

That is such a stupid question. If you could hold more than one that would mean you could have:

500% chance to cast level 10 firestorm on striking.
60 to all skills
400 to all attributes
400 to all resists(maxed)
