XBox Officially Broken
Well, as you could probably guess from the title... My XBox finally died on me. It will not read any games anymore and just blinks a yellow and green light continuously, then a red and green light when it is telling you it is broken... :(
I guess I will have to buy a new one either tomorrow or Friday.. :(           |
Nah, don't buy a new one. Just put an acolyte on it.
join the club... atleast they arnt on backorder since december in the states like they are here
Wow, what a piece of shit... Don't they do repairs on them, though, for like $50?
Apparently, it is a motherboard problem that needs to be repaired, and no store I called will do it. They all said to ship it to Microsoft for the repair. A new XBox would be faster, and almost as expensive in the end after shipping and whatnot. So, it's not worth it.. :(

If you trash your xbox, make sure you yank the hard drive first... and any other components that you might could put into a computer.
that really sux titus... we miss you online... especially steve... get your new box soon man...i'm on a hot hot hot streak right now haha
Got it back, but not without a slight hitch. I went to EB Games, and they had a sign saying they would buy back your broken XBox and give you a $30 discount on a new one, or a $50 discount on a used one. So, I got a new one with that deal, but of course my dumb ass fucking left Halo 2 in the broken one CD Rom and had to wait another to play it anyway.. Thank God they were actually honest and gave it back to me. I would have killed someone..
Literally. |
we all have our moments... i dont know how many times i've taken my box to a friend's house for a lan party or something and left a different game in the box or something along those lines
yea or have someone steal your box and trade it for a broken one lol
