Robotic arm controlled by thought.

A bit more practical than the recent implants to control a mouse cursor by thought.

Heh, thats pretty cool. I wonder how long it will take them to make a fully functional life like arm.

Would be cool if they made that for a penis...

I think a cursor controller would be pretty cool if it actually worked. I'd think it would be pretty buggy though.

I bet you wish they made a thought controlled dildo that you could shove up your ass without even moving, because everything takes too much fucking effort for you.

!King_Amazon! 2005-03-03 03:08 PM

What the hell is your problem today?

Kaneda 2005-03-03 03:18 PM

So where exactly was the arm located? Since the monkey still had it's own two. Did it just sit on the ground infront of the monkey or did they attach the arm to it?

WetWired 2005-03-04 06:12 AM

They've had completely implanted (completely inside the skull) cursor control implants that reported work pretty good for months now. Note, however, that this experiment was probably performed open-brained.

Hehe, funny :)

undeadzombieguy 2005-03-04 06:52 AM

Would it work in a way that when you think about a spot for the cursor to move to, it moves there? Think how much you would own in FPS games :o.

WetWired 2005-03-04 11:55 AM

I'm under the impression that it works like a joystick controlled cursor, except in your head.
