Legitimate, serious question
 

This is most definately not the best place to ask this, but I just thought I'd get some opinions. There are a few people here who's thoughts I value.

How do you go from dating to being in a relationship?

Well me, personally, have not been in many relationships, and most of them have been short, but i've heard a lot and seen a lot of things like your situation. This girl Rachael that you like, must be something special to you. I want to tell you something, but i dont, just becuase if I mess something up, then it will be my fault, but you probabaly wont listen to a word i say, anyways, so here goes.

I think you should find out what pleases her. I think you should pleasure her as much as possible, whatever she wants to do, do it for her. Alos, you should let her know she is special to you. You should take her out somewhere really nice, or if shes the kind of party girl, take her to a really jumpin club or bar or something. Buy her whatever she wants, and hope for the best. WHen your sure she has had a blast night, just ask straight up. If she says no, just kind of look down, and play it off like you really want it, but you dont want to push it too far. This will make a female very unconfertable, just say its OK, and that you still want to continue to have fun.

My way might not work, but you can fuse some other opinons and things like that. Too bad we cant have a "block this member from viewing my thread" option :)

Well, this just actually happened to me today so I might as well share.

I've been dating this girl for a few weeks now and we normally party together and after a party I was walking her out to her car and I could tell she was digging me and so I swooped in and kissed her and started to walk away. She grabbed my jacket and we started to make out. I only saw her once after that (excluding today) and she had to go abruptly and that's understandable. Today she came to watch me play my basketball game and as I was walking her to her car I kissed her once and asked, "You just wanna make this official now... ya know, boyfriend and girlfriend?" and she said yeah. So, there ya go. Come to think of it, I've used this approach on every girl I've dated.. weird.

What's stupid around here is people can't really date or fool around without being classified as boyfriend or girlfriend (or at least at my Christian school). All the girls are seriously hard to crack, except for the freshman who 90% are whores. That's why I like having a whole bunch of friends at the public school that I date. After about 2-3 dates we're normally with each other for the next few months, so I like that better than my school, though my parents are making me go there. There are some really fun girls there, though.

Bleh, just go to the mall...theres bitches everywhere to choose from...

God I need some ass... I'm pissed.

We have a population of 14,000. All that's in the shitstain we have a mall is a Herberger's and a Mexican Restaurant. If there were chicks there, I'm a block away.

Um, as far as your question...I've always assumed it's just something that happens after so long. Thats how it works for me, if one of you doesn't decided to keep dating first.

Ya... I don't know. I'm just nervous because I'm inexperienced here really. I've only started a 'relationship' once, and that was back when the accepted practice was to simply say, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Everyone that I've talked to says just to give it time and see what happens. Patience has never been one of my virtues, but I like this girl...

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I don't know man, I've PIITB once, and it was a terrible experience both for me and her. I don't think I'll be able to do it ever again. I still like the porn though. ^_^

When you say dating, are you saying, just you two on a date, or you two hanging out with a bunch of people? Have you kissed her yet? etc. Sorry if you posted about this already, but I haven't read it if you have.

If you have been seeing her one-on-one for a few weeks, then all you have to do is grab your sack and ask her what the deal is with you two. The hardest part is bringing it up, but after that, reactions tell you a lot on whether to continue the conversation or not.

How can anyone top this?

There are many ways... Talk to her about how she feels about you, express that you like her, and if all goes well, ask her if she'd like to make it official.
