Hero Name Fix....
 

....So I downloaded the thing from the website, but I'm not sure where to put it....can someone help me out?

Generally, these patches are done like this:

1) Run patcher
2) Start a new project (can be deleted later)
3) Close project
4) Take the RPG_RT.exe (Game.exe if it's RMXP) from that new project folder (it'll be patched) and copy/paste that over your old project's RPG_RT.exe (or Game.exe) to update it.
5) Enjoy new updated version

Of course, I have no idea which thing from which webiste and which version of RPG Maker we're talking about here, but that's the general process.

Are you all saying your enter name doesn't work?

If your talking about RM2K then yeah, but RM2K3 works perfectly. So did RMXP for me. I haven't found a version of RM2K3 or RMXP that didn't have a working Enter Hero Name thing.

Actually, it's been busted for a LONG time, at least by default. Not sure if they included the fix with new versions, but at least the Font Fix actually repairs the Enter Hero Name prompt recently. The Font Fix is a no-brainer install though, so I assumed that he had found a separate patch that relies on RPG_RT.exe (like all the version patches)

Anyway. The font fix that I had was different. All I did was copy different fonts into the font folder

Yeah, it's not hard at all (though I had one with a .BAT file install, making it even easier)
