I also like that there's absolutely no mention of the version of RPG Maker he's planning on using..
Edit: He fixed it. |
Is that supposed to be sarcastic or am I in a morbid mood again???
---------- Sounds like fun. But what type of games are gonna be made??? |

I can do the animation, for like cutscenes and intro and ending. It will be in Flash, if that's all right. I am learning Maya, so I could do stuff like Shrek or simple stuff like South Park. I need to find Adobe After Effects, or other similar particle program(for magics, fire, and other neat effects). I do everything in Anime style, because I can't stand taking the time to put in all kinds of detail in a hand or body for something that won't be worth $999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 or more. Besides, I like the simpicity, yet complexity of anime and it's ability to take the hardest, meanest, baddest mofo you can find and turn him into a big baby with very few modifications. Anyways, yeah, so...can I be on your team?

If you could get AviMaker from www.rpgwolfpack.com and use it. I know asking you to do it frame by frame is hard, but if Aurvian is a good concept artist then you should do fine. Remember, your support will be and is appreciated. |
Wed, which RPG Maker are you using???
Also, as far as I can tell, and other members of the forum, it is not possible to have movie type things in RMXP. |
Good catch, you're right about that one. There's no movie option in XP because Enterbrain didn't want to recode that in or something..
Of course you can always do FRAME BY FRAME PNG FILES ISN'T THAT LOVELY Though he does say he's going for RM2k3, so that's good at least. |

---------- Wait a minute, is your avatar smaller? What gives??? ---------- hate PNG's. They are so damn stubborn. And when you get it right, the program goes off sulking, and won't let you ex/import it. |
mail virus
Hey bluecube is it possible to find out who all sent mail my two email addresses(backstar + wed_g). For some reason my wed_g email had a virus attached to it sent from backstar and my backstar had one sent from [email protected]
i deleted them though. |
It's most likely just a random bot, or else someone has a virus on their machine which read the email address in the webpage (or their contact list if they added you), and sent a random email to you. The fact that it's from "someone" at cs.tri means that it's probably just a spoofed return address.
-- Edit: Wait, you essentially sent got messages sent from one account to the other? That really sounds like either you have a virus and it sent one out to your contact list (which included the wed_g address) or someone simply added you and it got spoofed that way, by reading one email address and spoofing as another contact. I doubt it was intentional, bah. I'll see if there's any recent threats.. --- Edit 2: Hah, there's a new DOS virus for some reason. Anyway, can you remember the subject line of the email at all? (It might be still in your trash, if you forgot) |
email name

That's one of the Netsky variants. Someone has the Netsky virus and reads the forums - they'd have to have your email address in a text file or something, because Netsky scans the hard drive for .txt / .doc / other random extensions for email addresses.
You're probably not the one with the virus, but I'd do a quick checkup to be sure. Symantec's Netsky scanner/removal tool - http://securityresponse.symantec.com...r/FxNetsky.exe |
been there

Then it's just someone who happened to write down your email in Notepad or something and the virus picked that up and sent itself to you. Nothing much to do here, I'm afraid.
|
Thanx

Any suggestions

I wouldn't know what to call it. Our team name is "Backstar Productions" but that sounds more like a company than a game development company. I'll take any suggestions. Edit: Check it out... I got an Avatar... *Sarcasticly* Whoo hoo! |
