VP debate

I thought it was going to be better than the presidential one. But I was wrong, not even 5 mins in and I have to leave the room. Edwards is such a cocky son of a bitch. I hate how he is trying to goat Cheney, also wtf with that gobal test shit.

I didn't even watch any of it, nor will I after this post. Playoff Baseball and coloring in every other block on my graph paper is taking president.

All I will say on this subject is that Dick Cheney pwnt Edwards. Ill admit that Bush lost the last debate but for sure Dick Cheney won this one.

Penny_Bags 2004-10-05 09:53 PM

Thats because Dick wheres the pants in the Presidential relationship, while Kerry makes the decisions for the other group.

Anyone (unbiasedly) care to summarize the debate? I didn't watch.

Both of them were goading each other. Aside from the nearly constant stream of mud-slinging between the two of them, it was actually a pretty good debate. During those few precious moments when the two were actually discussing pertinent issues instead of bitching about their senate attendance records or their vote history, they were actually both presenting some interesting information.

In my opinion, Edwards did a better job. He did antagonize Cheney, but not with the frequency of his opponent and he always made a point of returning to the topic at hand.

Also, there were a few key issues that Edwards was clearly more prepared for. The same-sex marriage issue was the main one that stuck out in my head. He, in a very clear and concise manner, explained his and Kerry's opinions on the matter and pointed out the futility of Bush's attempts to Constituionally ban gay marriage throughout the country. Cheney's response was basically "I stand by the President". During the latter half of the topic he literally said nothing in response to Edward's arguments.
