Horrible news to hear. A pointless war, gone worse. And for what? Weapons of Mass Destruction Bush had proclaimed Iraq has. Have we found any? No. bush says "Even though we haven't found a stock pile of WMD's like we thought, at least we liberated them from Saddam". Funny thing is, now that Saddam is out of office and in our custody, we're NOT going to find any WMDs, and our people are being killed for no GODDAMN REASON, why are we still in war?

I just think this is reason why we should not re-elect BUSH. Bush is a horrible leader, look how he led us into a war with no cause. Look how he broken ties with many foreign leaders who used to be our allies, Look how much hatred of the UNited States has come about since 2000. It's pathetic, and now we've lost 1,000 Troops in the poorly planned, poorly executed war, called "Iraqi Freedom" ... pathetic.

1,000 People, friends of yours, mine. This is a national tragety. We had roughly 2,800 die in the World Trade center attacks. How pathetic is that, we're at 1,000 in a 3rd world country which has no problem with us before we destroyed it, and now that we have destroyed it, we have to rebuild it, which is costing us BILLIONS of dollars. The last number was at 380 Billion, 3-8-0 BILLION dollars. Exactly.

For once i agree with you. Being Canadian, i was pissed at first that Canada was going to have no involvement in this war. That was mearly under the assumption that there were WMD's in Iraq. No that George's War has been exposed for the fraud it is, I'm happy for the first time with our governments passive attitude. Last i saw though, I saw Bush I believe with a double figure lead. I'm not American and so really don't care nor know all the facts about Kerry. I see any alternative to George bush as a good one.

Was the price worth it, though? Do you think that the death of between 11000 and 13000 people was worth it? Do you think that the deaths of the 1000 American soldiers freeing Iraq from something that, obviously they didn't seem to mind that much anyway, was worth it? Don't believe me? Look it up. Gallup polls, late-March or early-April. Majority of Iraq would rather have Saddam than Bush. The statistics are all there, just not too wide-spread. Was it worth it? Would it be worth it if you lost a brother/father/mother/sister/son/daughter/uncle? Was it worth going to a war which most of the world and (don't know the exact numbers on this one) much of America didn't support, under a president that the majority of America didn't vote in? And when America did support the war, it was under the assumption that Iraq posed a major threat to us because of weapons of mass destruction? How would the real facts have swayed the public opinion of the war?

To me, it's not worth it. I'm not going to even attempt to sway your opinion, because I've learned that people are damned stubborn in what they believe, but if I was ever called to fight in this war, for whatever reason, you wouldn't find me there. If you offered me a position as general in this war, you wouldn't find me there. I sure as hell am not going to fight for something I don't believe in, and I refuse to vote for a president that is going to continue doing something where the negatives and losses heavily outweigh the positives, in my opinion.

What I want is to have real wars again...none of this pussy "oh no 1000 soldiers died in some vague middle-east war BOOHOO" bullshit. I mean, a thousand? That's not even a decently high number. Back in World War 2, they somehow managed to have ~30 million people dead, and that's with the shitty technology they had back then. Cmon guys, with all the Geforce 6800's and shit we have nowadays, don't you think we can at least come up with a decent way to kill 20 times that much?

We kinda are expected too. I mean we (the USA) is the only superpower left in the world, and we are called up when there is trouble. Also it Bush was told that there were WMD's in Iraq. Yes, we couldn't find it but it was faulty info, not completly Bush's fault.

Also during the first gulf war and before that, Saddam launched chemical and Biological attacks on his own people. During this gulf war 2, whatever it was called, we found none of this. Do you think that he actually got rid of all these weapons? Also the man was a danger to the Iraqies and they are now free. So that is accomplishing something.

By the way, when I go to vote, Bush will be getting mine, not some flip flopping pussy.
