Stargate Movie vs SG-1/Atlantis

I've noticed what seems to be some inconsistancies between the Stargate movie and the TV series. Unfortunately, I haven't watched it since the beginning, so perhaps I missed something important.
  • The gate code is based off of the constellations recognized by the local inhabitants, according to the movie, yet in the series, they seem to have no problem dialing out of a cavern in the ground with no exit, where noone can see the sky, and which they don't know where it's located.
  • Apparently, some time between the first episodes of season 1 and season 5, Daniel stopped having to translate all the time
  • In the movie, Ra apparently gains control of the soldiers with the hand device, and Daniel suffers no ill-effects to his mind from being in the sarcoughogus, but Apophis gains control of Teal'c's mind using the sarcoughogus.
I don't remember any of the other things right now...

The movie pwned the TV show, in my opinion.

Regarding your third point, you have to remember that Teal'c is a jaffa. He is host to a Goa'uld symbiot. If you remember, a Goa'uld can take control of its hosts body. Perhaps, in the case of Teal'c, the sarcoughagus didn't take control of teal'c's mind but instead took that of its symbiot, which then took control of teal'c.

I havnt seen this episode so it's just speculation.

Never watched the show, but I loved the movie. Saw it about 10 times in the theatre when I was a kid.

The symbiote goa'uld already has the knowledge and desire of its ancestors, it simply has not yet matured to the extent that it's fully ready to take a host.

Okay, I saw the beginning of season 1 last night, and apparently, the planet they visited in the movie went from being on the other side of the universe to being very close to Earth...

Does the embarkation/gate room get remodeled at some point during the series? Because I could swear that it seems wider in season 5.

I'm assuming they fixed up the set after the show got more popular.
