It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.

First one, the player is right, the fucking dick that duplicated the items should have been punished.

Second one, nice.

Sovereign 2004-08-14 12:16 PM

Heh. Blizzard better hope that this doesnt happen for d2.

Mydogisyourdog 2004-08-14 12:45 PM

threesome with the two one the sides? the one in the middle can shove the wand up her... uh... so lawsuit eh? hah

Kidagakash 2004-08-14 10:36 PM

Most games Terms of Survice and User Agreemtns state you dont own the shit, they do, so if it goes missing tuff luck. this case will not go anywhere.

simply put, if this rule is changed games will me destryed, as everyone will claim the same shit over and over, saying its not duped.
i say if the item is found to be duped, track that items history and find out whom in this case all four sowrds belonged to at one point, and ban that player. so like if the player bob duped them, his name and accout or whatever would show up on all 4 swords. since they are dupes, and hes had all 4 of them, i think its safe to say he duped them.

so ban him and any accouts under his card, IP whatever, as for removing the duped item, i say do so, but give the player his/her criedts back (this can also be determined by trade logs ect to find out how much the player payed for the item with ingame gold)
as for e-bay shit, well the TOS says your not supost to e-bay for items you down own. and if you do, do it at own risk.
your own fault, tuff luck.

if your stupid enough to buy bytes of information and pixles of color, then hey! send me some money i will send you a disk or cd with lots of colors and bytes of information. then you will actualy own it! fuking retards.

here we go, as an example. right on of Terms of Survice agreemnt from EA.com
c) Rights.
You acknowledge and agree that all characters created, and items acquired and developed as a result of game play are part of the Software and Service and are the sole property of EA.com.

yea, its true, all that writeing and words you see when you install a game, where you just hit "I Agree" thats in there in some way shape or form.
sometimes the game even makes you hit the i agree button every time you start the game, or when you make an accout with the game,
you ppl realy sould read up on it, to know that you as a playr have no rites in the game at all.

Like Kidagakash said, the lawsuit won't go anywhere.

As far as the second link, I wouldn't mind having them in my bed with me. :D

zagggon 2004-08-14 11:22 PM

I looked in here hoping to see something interesting, instead I see 2 links that would mean I would actually have to click in order to view them (god knows im to lazy for that) so I exit out of the thread, dissheartend.

Vollstrecker 2004-08-14 11:23 PM

Thank you for posting that witty and insightful comment.

Shining Knights 2004-08-14 11:36 PM

It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.

Vollstrecker 2004-08-15 12:03 AM

After looking at that again, I'm going to revise my earlier statement.

It would be a distinct pleasure to have them in my bed.

Arbitus 2004-08-15 12:30 AM

Lawsuite: Bullshit, its game. If you spend the money to file a lawsuit and shit. Your pothetic. You deserve to die and burn in hell.

Miss Hong Kong: God damn she is one hot mutha fucka! WOOOOWEEEE!

Slim 2004-08-15 01:23 AM

If you're so lazy, why not kill yourself? I mean, you wouldn't have to do anything for the rest of eternity, and it would make this place so much more enjoyable.

Kidagakash 2004-08-15 05:55 AM

ooo i found more on this..... this is from Blizzards Terms of Survice. and prbly in other games as well...
You hereby agree and acknowledge that Blizzard shall not have any liability to You for the loss of Online Data for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, server failure, telephonic interruptions of any kind, defects, viruses or other harmful components, and negligent acts of Blizzard and/or its affiliates;
good stuff eh? you ppl real sould read these things, they sometime have some intresting things listed.

OmniFalcon 2004-08-16 04:46 PM

Kida is right. Its our fault if we trust some assmonkey who is trading some super powerful sword and we get scammed. I've been scammed plenty of times on Diablo 2 and games like so, and I bet many others have obviously. Its best not to bitch because you won't get anywhere, and face it, can one person really fight a company making money of peoples unspent hours? Thats like a sheep versus a wolf in Mortal Combat.

1st link = Punish the scamming bastard yes. Don't make a huge case of it.
2nd link = wtf?

Randuin 2004-08-16 07:06 PM

Lol, And I even know which sword it is...

The TuLong, a legendary sword, said to drop only ONE in each service area.

And... I'd hit it ;) Miss HK

Thanatos 2004-08-16 09:57 PM

The one on the left is the hottest.

Vollstrecker 2004-08-16 09:58 PM

Odd, that was the one I liked the least...

Slim 2004-08-16 10:09 PM

I also think this, she seems the least Asian. Vollstrecker has an Asian fetish, let's all point and laugh. :haha:

Randuin 2004-08-16 10:17 PM

I am asian, so I guess that wouldn't matter

They're from Hong Kong

Thanatos 2004-08-16 10:18 PM

That's why I chose her. She doesn't look as Asian as the rest - it almost looks as though she has a tan.
