Ok guys,I'm having problems w/ my computer. I'm trying to get my computer to restart, but it keeps freezing at the welcome screen...what do I do???

What OS? Check the programs that load durring start up. Turn everything off that doesn't absolutely need to be running for windows to work. Depending on your OS you can usually just go the run prompt and type in msconfig. Look under the startup tab.

I told her to try it in safe mode. We'll find out how it works tomorrow.

also if it's a win16/32 OS, like win95 or 98, you can also try starting things one by one to see which step it's screwing up on

something in a theme I down loaded...I went into safe mode and uninstalled it...and it's good now :)
