Kingdom Hearts

If you've played this game, care to shed some opinions on it? I never really even heard of this game until the Zelaron Melee Battle between Sephiroth and Dracula and found out Sephiroth is a tough boss fight in this game.

Ever since then, I'm thinking about buying it and adding to my list of games to beat. Thoughts?

I thought it was a great game. It took me a long time to beat it, but only because I had to keep re-renting it from Blockbuster every week. 8/10.

Go for it, but the battles get rather boring after a while. Most battles are just "PRES BUTAN" over and over again. Still, it brings back memories of old Disney movies, and that's basically what drove me forward. It's also fun to explore around.. I'd equate it to Zelda, but in KH there's usually very little need for anything besides your Keyblade and the Cure spell. Sure, some enemies are weak against Ice and such, but it's not really worth the MP because you can just swipe 'em with your Keyblade and save the MP for a Cure.

Oh, and all of the FF characters are pretty cool, except for Cloud, because he's just a wuss.

I absolutely hated the Little Mermaid world though. HAY GUYS LETS SWIM FOR AN HOUR TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE WAY OUT OF HERE AND OH LOOK
I accidently grabbed on to a passing dolphin which helped me actually get out of that place. Thank you, random happenstance!

Worth renting. If you like it, rent it again and you should be able to beat it. I have absolutely no desire to go through that game again, but it was worth it the first time around without a doubt. This gets an extra point for Pooh Bear, I absolutely loved Pooh Bear when I was little. 7.5/10.

Is this game like a fruity Disney character plot though? Pooh? Little Mermaid? What the fuck?

Jessifer 2004-07-31 06:29 AM

The world of Winnie the Pooh made me wanna hurl. I thought it was incredibly boring and too fucking cutesy.

The game itself however, I enjoyed a lot. There are a few spots in the game where I had no clue as to where to go, but thanks to happy circumstance (Vive la dolphin!) and a few walkthroughs (*koffkoff*) in more difficult area's I got through them.

But I really did enjoy the game. I recommend it.

^^^^^^
Jessifer, you'd like the Winnie the Pooh area too if you had absolutely loved the books/movies/cartoons/etc. when you were little. Though I will say that the Pooh "theme" music will start to get on your nerves.. it just never stops. NEVER

Yeah, most of the "worlds" are Disney based. There's one on Pinocchio , Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast (though it's not really based on that world, you just get Beast as a character), Little Mermaid, Winnie the Pooh bonus area, Hercules, Tarzan, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, and probably some other one that I forgot.

I can't really describe the plot itself, but read some reviews about it.

It doesn't help when you're playing and your neice insists that you stay in Pooh's world. Although I admit it's cute to watch her dance to it, and it keeps her quiet when I babysit. Always a plus.

The music would drive you insane after a while. How long did you have to stay in there?

Pooh's world is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there (especially since I'd probably have to kill Tigger after a few days. Bouncy Bouncy indeed.)

Jessifer 2004-07-31 02:59 PM

Considering I never actually go there until I gather all of the missing pages, quite a damn while.

Also, as much as I do love Eeyore I still found it sadistically amusing to destroy his home every chance I got.
