i know this might sound newbie but what type of enigma should you use that will allow you to have base str?

I believe dusk enigma is preferable.

Breast Plate = 30 Str but lower defense

Mage Plate = 55 STr and much higher defense

A Dusk Shroud is a terrible armor to create enigma out of. Its req's 77 str which is for to much with the new runeword Enigma and it looks terrible on characters. It doesnt even have a huge def amount over a Mage Plate either. Highest I have seen is like 1,330ish and my mage is 1,072.

bah im glad to hear some people still care about the looks...
all people are calling me noob and all whats ugly and unexperienced cuz my barb has enigma in sacred armor, but with his stuff on he has like 350 str so WHO CARES
then i get my pala's and javazon and show my wire-fleece and mage-plate enigma etc and then they just quit or squelch etc etc

And you have those lame people putting on all the +str and then putting them off, like theyr naked and cant wear ANY of their gears (even not boots or helm ....)
Thats just ruining the game to be the best :'( :'( i hope blizz fixes this and they will all have to rebuild theyr PvP chars, MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAA :D

I personally have a Dusk Enigma, mainly due to the fact it was the last one I had laying around that wasn't an Archon.
