Any one have any ideas for movies they would like to see made from games?

Also, I heard of a metroid movie. please confirm this.

I heard that too about that metroid movie. Maybe a devil may cry movie would be cool, but they would've have to spice up the story a bit.

Metroid is confirmed. Go to www.imdb.com and check out what little information they have available! It's slated for a 2006 release. John Woo is involved somehow, although it hasn't been specified as to how he's involved.

There is also a Devil May Cry movie that's been announced. The company that's responsible for it is doing a Tekken movie first, though, so DMC probably won't make it until 2006 or later.

Max Payne, IF they can sustain the whole poetic, dark, film noir mood Remedy did ever-so-well in Max Payne 2.

What if the did a remake of The Talented Mr. Ripley, but metroid style. It would be called The Talented Mr. Ridley, and the cover art would show Samus on one side of the door while Ridley is trying to listen from the other side. LOL LOL LOL

A D2 movie would be cool. I would rather see it made Final Fantasy style though.

I think a d2 or starcraft movie would be very cool and also seeing as they already have books on them they could use those.

By the way. I've read all of the starcraft books, and ALL of them were excellent. I read the first diablo book as well. The main character, a necromancer, is fucking pwn. She's a true master of her art.

I've always wanted to see a Mega Man movie for some reason. I remember watching the old cartoon shows, and they rocked. I still have a few of them on video...... ^_^. Time to dig them up and watch.

I have read the first diablo and starcraft books. If they made a movie out of either of those, even computer animated, i think it would be very pimp.

I'd rather see an anime for Max Payne. Can't you just see Cowboy Bebop written all over it?

I think a Mega Man movie would be great, but it has to be the "X" series or "Zero" series, because the original was too, I don't know the word, but it wasn't something you'd turn into a movie. Halo would be a great movie, but not based on the game. It would have to be based on the books Fall of Reach and First Strike because they explain the in-between game things and the start of the Spartan Program. I would also like to see a Legacy of Kain Series of movies. As for the one who said sc, I think you are talking about Soul Caliber, and I don't think fighting games make great movies. Look at Mortal Kombat. Well, okay the first one rocked, but the second one was lame as all hell. But, hey, what do I know, it could be great.

Noone said Metal Gear movie yet.... my god people, where are your minds? (I heard rumors about a movie being made, not sure, clarify this please) Or how about a movie covering the actual storyline of Final Fantasy 7, not the afterlogue like advent children seems to be, and btw, OMG, ff7 movie, woohoo... *orgasm* gonna be pwn =P

Well that's because the movie has already been made...PSYCHE! I'm just yankin' your chain. That would be a really awesome movie. Also that would be cool if they made a movie of Need for Speed Underground...Oh wait they did(sorta, called fast and furious). Nah, but really, I think a great movie would be the Zelda Series, most likely Ocarina of Time. And Orlando Bloom could be Adult Link, and dunno who would be Zelda, but Ganondorf would have to be played by the ROCK(dunno who else would fit the part)

A GTA movie would be a terrible movie idea.

Another Final Fantasy movie, but based on the first game. (I could write the script :P) It would be interesting to see...but I think whoever gets ahold of this would fuck it up so bad it would be trash :( But I'd be interested in a Kingdom Hearts movie
