Advice on sorc
 

I'm making a cold sorc for hardcore ladder. She's going to "solo" with only one other character (who will be a bowzon if it matters). I've seen so many people going blizzard. Is the only reason for this the synergies? Should I go blizzard or orb? What supporting skills are good? I plan on having only cold besides one in static and *maybe* one in warmth.

Orb i say, i play hardcore and orb has done great things to me. Yes i solo myself and dont go to public games in nightmare or hell mode. Shes been great so far. You should go thunder storm as well coz in hell it'll help.

I am not sure what you should do Bob, but I can tell you from experience that the combo or orb and thunderstorm sucks in hell. Orb just doesn't do enough damage, so you will have a hard time killing anything. I seen blizzard sorc do good in hell, so that might be a better build.

Doesnt do enough dmg are you kidding me arse. This is soloing with 2 ppl, monsters arent too hard in hell with 2 peeps. But i guess you are planning on only going cold so that means orb and blizzard.

Either Orb or blizzard. If I go orb though, I can go tstorm as well, as I'll only have to max frost bolt, orb, and cold mastery. I can still to tstorm and lit mastery. If I go bliz, however, I'll have to max 5 cold skills (bliz, mastery, and 3 synergies).

What i would do, max blizz and synergies, put one or more after u max everything out into orb, w/ all ur +skills it will do decent dmg but when u have a big boss like baal or meph, blizz kills in no time.

Blizzard is the way to go.

My ladder sorc tears thru anything that is not cold immune.

Use the combo of Blizzard/Ice Blast. Just Blast things that dodge Blizzard.

I only suggested orb and ts coz i solo 'bymyself' so in hell its hard to kill cold immunes so i go ts. Your soloing with a friend who is an amazon that will do physical dmg and can tank for you somehow. So probably blizzard will do coz it does do more dmg but i dont like the way it works, enemies running out of blizzard. I like hit and run with orb.
