Who gets to keep all of their moneys? Or does the government take all of it away?

I would say first come, first serve. Of course, there is always the family factor. Or they could be twisted psychopaths and burn it all in an offering to the person...

Govnt gets some. Then the people in their will get the rest of the inheritance.

Bah, you work all your life only to have your money taken away by the gov't when you die...

Thats a good question, i woudlnt know....i think the govnt would get much more of it, but thats just a retarded guess.

My guess is that the money would be split up to the direct family members. Mainly kids and such. At least, that's what happened when my mom died. o.O Hm.

Okay, I take it back, they should get some... but ALL of it if you don't have a will would be putrid.

It's actually labelled the "Death Tax", and I forget how much they take, but it's a decent amount.

At least when you kick the bucket, you can feel proud you're helping keep everyone else's taxes lower, since you don't have much use for your money anymore...

When my dad died, my mom got the money. (life insurence and such.) The government didn't take too much away because I am under 18 and I need to get through college.

Well, he might have had a will (never know). And that is such bullshit that the government thinks they can take your many when you already are shelling out a bunch of cash to them each year. That sucks,.... (sorry to hear your dad is dead)

Yeah, you complain about the taxes, which you probably don't even pay, but you don't complain about the police, FBI, CIA, all organizations, roads, etc that you get in return. Just think about it, no police...any random joe can come into your house and ass rape you until you die.

I prefer taxes.

What was not understood about "im not against taxing people by anymeans". Taxes are fine. Im NOWHERE denying that they help us, but taxes after death, where they will not affect me in any shape way or form, is just stupid.
